The DIT-ACHIEV project will assist in establishing a stanardised and robust methodology for benchmarking Sustainable Tourism Management in Ireland.
Jointly funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and Fáilte Ireland, the DIT-ACHIEV project focuses on implementing a matrix of sustainable tourism indicators.
The DIT-ACHIEV Project was officially launched with the six local partners, Kerry County Council, Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, Killarney National Park, Killarney Town Council, Muckross House Trustees and the Carlingford and Cooley Peninsula Tourism Association, on the 20th March 2009. The model was initially be tested in Killarney and is being applied to the Carlingford area.
