Browsealoud: speech-enabling this website

Dublin Institute of Technology website is now speech-enabled, which means that you can download free software and have the site read aloud to you. The free software is called Browsealoud.

Browsealoud reads out all website content including PDF and MS Word documents. As you move the cursor over words, they are spoken aloud. Browsealoud makes using the Internet easier for people who have mild visual impairments, dyslexia, low literacy and reading skills and English as a second language.

Browsealoud is free to download and you have control over the voice, word pronunciations and speech highlighting.
