Update for week of 06 March 2017

Light Lunches Series is back!

As we are all aware, academic staff are often the first point of contact for our students and a major source of referrals for Campus Life services. With that in mind, we are excited to announce the Light Lunch Series dates for this Semester. These lunches provide a space for first year and programme tutors to meet and discuss the challenges of the role. So if you are a First Year programme tutor, involved in teaching first years, or if you would just like to find out more about the supports available to students, please come along.  The sessions are informal so please drop in and leave at whatever time suits you.

This year a large number of First Year Student’s participated in a Transition Questionnaire run by the Career Development Centre and this information has now been collated and interesting trends  are emerging. These Light lunches will look at that data and concentrate on the question of ‘How well are students are Transitioning’, along with our regular contributions from the International, Registrations and Campus Life teams. There are a number of dates for this semester, the first we will take place in Cathal Brugha Street ,the Boardroom, next Tuesday, 07 March from 1pm.  Other dates are listed below and everyone is welcome to attend any or all events – a light lunch is provided for your convenience.
