Sunday Times Good University Guide

Yesterday saw the publication of the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 with DIT maintaining its lead on Maynooth at seventh place. Athlone IT was in eighth place and was named IT of the year 2018, however, Alastair McCall of the Sunday Times points out that DIT’s performance in future guides looks set to be stronger. “The performance of DIT, in particular suggests it might climb higher than its present seventh position, a ranking it has retained from last year. On three key measures, it already stands in our top five – ranking third for high entry standards (455 being the median points gained on entry by its 2016 intake), with two fifth-place finishes for graduate unemployment (just 4.6%), and the proportion of students gaining either a first or 2:1 degree (70%).
