The Grangegorman Public Art Group has two exciting events coming over the coming weeks, this Wednesday, 11 October 2017, Professor Ciarán Benson will formally launch Bernie Masterson’s public exhibition about the Incarceration Altars project. The project was undertaken in collaboration with residents of Mountjoy Prison Campus and investigates the relationship between person, place and object through prisoners’ view of identity. The second event is a Community Public Art Evening which invites artists and communities involved with the community-based projects under the Grangegorman Public Art programme to share them with the local Grangegorman area. This will take place on Wednesday 18th October, doors at 6:30pm in St Laurence's Church. If you wish to attend one or both of these, please RSVP to public.art@ggda.ie.
