Update for week of 11 April 2016

Undergraduate Awards 2016 – Encourage our students to enter

The Closing Date for entries to this year’s Undergraduate Awards is May 31 2016.  Last year 80 DIT students in final or penultimate year of their programme submitted their work for consideration in one of the 25 categories and five students received Highly Commended awards, putting them in the top 10% of submissions in that discipline.  One DIT student, Deirdre Corr, from the School of Computer Science,  won the overall 'island of Ireland' award in the Computer Sciences category for her paper ‘Wearable Sleep Apnoea Detection System’.  It would be great to see more DIT students attending the Undergraduate Awards Global Summit next November.

Please encourage our students to enter.  To read more about The Undergraduate Awards, go to their website at http://www.undergraduateawards.com/
