Update for week of 20 March 2017

DIT Staff Relay – 25th May

In recent years, the School of Transport Engineering, Environment and Planning have entered teams into the Dublin Staff Relay event in Phoenix Park.

This is a charity event where teams of 5 runners/walkers each complete a 5km course in the Phoenix Park in relay.  The event is a great social event, an opportunity to meet colleagues from DIT and from other companies in Dublin and around the country.

I have an agreement with the organisers that all teams entered under the DIT banner will get their Early-Bird registration fee.

I have booked a number of teams for this event and I would like to encourage wider participation from across the institute.

The teams I have so far include:

School of Transport Engineering, Environment and Planning: probably 2 or 3 teams

School of Mechanical and Design Engineering: 1 Team so far

School of Computing: 1 team so far

Digital Media Centre:  1 team so far

School of Management:  1 team so far

School of Food Science & Env. Health: 1 team so far

If you would like to enter another team, please add it to the attached file and I will contact the organisers on your behalf. Don’t worry if it is not a full team of 5, I will allocate individuals to teams to make up numbers as required.

If you would like to enter individually, but don’t feel like putting together a team, then I can arrange several Barbarians teams for those with no particular affiliation.

Please feel free to share this link with any colleagues interested in the Dublin Staffs Relay event. Anybody with a DIT email address can view this document, but may need to request edit access to update details. I will be glad to share edit access with anybody who requests it.

I look forward to seeing you and your colleagues at this great event.
