23 June:  Building excitement about Science & Technology workshop

Invitation to Building Excitement about Science & Technology - free public event with workshops on June 23rd from 6-8pm in Kevin St

Dear Everyone,

As part of the Living Knowledge conference taking place in DIT next week, a series of parallel workshops will take place at a free public event from 6-8pm in DIT Kevin St on Thursday June 23rd.

The event showcases three collaborative projects between schools/youth organisations and Higher Education students listed below and should be of interest to staff working in Higher Education, to primary and secondary school principals and staff, youth workers and 3rd level students – please consider attending and also forwarding the information to contacts who you think may be interested.

The evening will start with short talks from people who have been involved in the collaborative projects which have the aim of building interest in science and technology and highlight how engaging and relevant to everyday life these subjects can be.

These will be followed by opportunities for participants to experience hands on demonstrations of activities for children/young people. As the workshops will run simultaneously, attendees should only register to attend their preferred session.
