Cyber Security awareness campaign

October isEuropean Cyber Security Month (ECSM) part of an EU awareness campaign that promotes cyber security and highlights the simple steps that can be taken to protect data, whether personal, financial and/or professional. 

To support this campaign, The DIT ICT Security team will be visiting DIT campus locations offering one-to-one advice on any security questions you might have. They will be on hand to answer staff and student queries in person from 1pm - 2pm in each location.

The DIT ICT Security team will hit the following DIT campus locations over the coming week.

DIT Aungier Street, Monday 23rd October

DIT Kevin Street Tuesday, 24th October

DIT Grangegorman Wednesday, 25th October

DIT Cathal Brugha Street, Thursday 26th October

DIT Bolton Street, Friday 27th October

In conjunction with this, DIT now offers free Security Training

This new 2017 online training course will provide you with essential cyber security skills to help you protect your information and money. The course contains videos, interactive games and informative topics such as protecting your password, identifying common threats, cloud security, etc. Don't forget to test your new skills by taking the assessment.

This course is available to both students and staff in Webcourses. Please login at webcourses.dit.ie, enrol on the Information Security Module ICTISA and take the Information Awareness Course.
