Professor John Cassidy nominated for President of Institute of Chemistry

Congratulations to Professor John Cassidy, Assistant Head, School of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, who has been honoured with nomination for President of the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland.  The election will take place at the Institute AGM on Thursday 27 April.

The Henry Boyle Gold Medal Award lecture will take place before the AGM at 5pm in the Royal College of Surgeons.  The lecture will be delivered by Professor Henry Curran, Director of the Combustion Chemistry Centre in NUIG.  The title of the lecture is: “Developing Detailed Chemical Kinetic Mechanisms for Fuel Combustion”.
