Update for week of 30 January 2017

10 February: Widening Participation Showcase

DIT is hosting a showcase on Widening Participation activities on Friday, 10th February 2017 from 1-4pm in the Courtyard in Aungier St (http://dit.ie/update/23-01-17/invitationtoditwideningparticipationshowcase/).

The session will include presentations from several colleagues in the College of Sciences and Health (as well as others) who have completed projects which were funded through the Widening Participation Annual Fund. The projects from our College are as follows:

  1. Claire McDonnell, School of Physics and Clinical & Optometric Sciences, Graduate Mentors
  2. Vanessa Murphy, School of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Development and Piloting of a Dublin Junior Scientist Badge with a Youth Service in an Underserved Community
  3. Christine O'Connor and Barry Ryan, School of Food Science and Environmental Health, Science Bridge: Building Virtual Bridges
