Education for everyone
DIT has a 120-year tradition of providing education opportunities for a diverse range of students, and continually seeks to assist people from all social groups to overcome obstacles that might prevent them participating in higher education. Under-representation is closely linked with wider issues of equity and social inclusion. In response DIT has adopted a ‘Widening Participation’ strategy to increase educational access for under-represented communities and to ensure equality of opportunity for students with a disability, mature students, students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and all ethnic groups. If you would like to find out more about the Strategy the Widening Participation Strategy document is available to download.
