My name is Colette Harold and I work as an Architectural Technician with studio m architects. I graduated in 1984 from DIT Bolton Street, with a Technician Diploma in Architecture.
In 1999 I returned to education part-time, and graduated from Trinity College Dublin, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management in Construction. In 2014 I attended a Revit and BIM intensive training course with ArcDox in Sandyford, Dublin, and achieved Autodesk Revit Architecture Professional Certification.
In 2013 I embarked on a 2.5 year part time MSc. in Energy Retrofit Technology in DIT Bolton Street, graduating in 2015 with 2nd Class Honours Upper Division.
I am currently working part-time with studio m architects in Blackrock. The practice specialises in private domestic houses and extensions which very often includes conservation work. My particular area of expertise is in implementing energy efficient retrofit measures and methods of construction.
Prior to working with studio m architects, I spent over 20 years working in the Hospitality and Leisure sectors as an Architectural Technician, and progressing to project managing large leisure interior design and build projects which included Hotels, multi-floor night clubs, and bars in Ireland and the UK. Other sectors I have experience in include health care facilities, schools, various retail and manufacturing developments.
