 Building Engineering

Industry Partner Programme

The TU Dublin Building Engineering Industry Partner Programme which was started in 2017 has become a cornerstone of innovation and a template for engagement between students and industry firms.

'Getting into the real world' is an important facet of our approach and the partner programme provides the structure whereby students can interact with their potential future employers right away from first year all the way to graduation.

This is a relationship which benefits everybody and is vital as the industry grows over the next few decades with the requirement that all major buildings will have to be nZEB ('near to zero energy') certified as a result of climate change directives.

Students will have the following opportunties under this programme;

  • On-site project visits - Opportunities to see how your academic studies are applied in real world live engineering projects.
  • Jobs Fairs - Exclusive netwroking opportunties for students of the College of Engineering & Built Environment and our supporting industry partners
  • Full-time Employment for Graduates - Most of our final year students (across Levels 7 and 8 incorporating both full-time and part-time programmes) have their chosen job role already lined up - well before they even sit their final exams.

Below is the list of fast growing engineering firms who are supporting the programme.

They are all seeking to hire high calibre engineering graduates across all mechanical, design and eletrical speciailities and they have also donated via the TU Dublin Foundation Fund in support of a digital marketing initiative to enhance awareness of the importance to society of building engineering.
