TU Dublin- City Campus Student Orlagh Cramp Wins Digital Student of the Year

Now in their 14th year, the Digital Media Awards are the most prestigious digital awards in Ireland. They recognise creativity and innovation across multiple areas of an ever-evolving sector which includes digital content creation, advertising and marketing, mobile media, social networking, app development, web design and development. 

Orlagh Cramp is a student of the Masters in Digital Marketing, a graduate of the Marketing degree programme and also among the first to complete the new CPD Certificate in Immersive Technologies for Business.

Orlagh's winning entry was a social media strategy created for a craft spirit distillery, the strategy involved two campaigns with the aim of building brand equity & brand awareness amongst their primary markets and increasing their social fans. Programme chair for the Masters in Digital Marketing- Dr Tara Rooney commented on Orlagh's success ''We are thrilled for Orlagh as winner of the Digital Student of the Year, it is a testament to the hard work and effort Orlagh puts in to her course work and the programme''. 

Congratulations also to Ryan O'Carroll who was awarded runner up 'Digital Student of the Year' for his entry, titled #AShowForTheBow. Ryan is currently in his final year studying for his Degree in Marketing,  in memory of his mum, Ryan decided to select Purple House Cancer Support (PHCS) as his chosen brand. Through the lens of the RACE framework, #AShowForTheBow seeks to position PHCS as the market leaders within the philanthropic industry, but most importantly, raise much-needed funding for cancer research.

Previous success for TU Dublin- City Campus at the Digital Media Awards as Shane Downey from the Masters in Digital Marketing programme took home the winning title of Digital Student of the Year in 2017.
