JP Morgan host workshop for TU Dublin Accounting and Finance Students

19 March 2019

Students from TU Dublin School of Accounting & Finance received a unique insight into JP Morgan, one of the world's largest financial services companies and investment banks, at a recent workshop organised by TU Dublin SMF (Student Managed Fund) in their new offices in Sir John Rogerson's Quay.

Thanks to Joan Kehoe, Global Head of Alternative Investments in JP Morgan, the students gained an insight into their lines of business, the different services they provide to their clients, a look inside their innovation lab and a detailed workshop on presentations skills.

Seán O'Reilly, lecturer in the School of Accounting & Finance and founder of the Student Managed Fund in the College said that "it was a great opportunity for our students to see what is going on in the market place at the moment. We are delighted to have a great relationship with JP Morgan and are very thankful for the opportunity to see their offices and get a better understanding of their business and future plans. It was extra special to see some of our graduate from our MSc. Finance and BSc. Economics & Finance programmes speaking about their new roles. Five TU Dublin students undertook full-time graduate roles in JP Morgan in 2018".

This workshop further showcases the great work by the TU Dublin SMF and their fantastic links to industry, the next event for our students is the final of the student managed fund competition which is hosted in Goodbody on 21st March where TU Dublin students will come up against students from other Universities across the country.

Joan Kehoe, Global Head of Alternative Investments in JP Morgan will be one of the key speakers at the TU Dublin Summit on 28th March, you can register here to attend and show your support.
