JOIN US IN THE FASHION REVOLUTION, WEDNESDAY 3RD APRIL

TU Dublin's second-year retail degree students are running a Fashion Revolution Showcase to raise awareness of problematic issues in the fashion industry today.

Where? The Courtyard, Ground Floor, Aungier Street, City Campus

When? Wednesday 3rd April from 11am - 2pm

Events organised by the students include:

'Chronicling Fashion': retail students document the path the clothing industry has followed to date with their very own fashion museum. At a crossroads in 2019, they ask TU Dublin students which path they will choose moving forward?

'FashRev Awareness #OOTD': retail students will bring their Instagram #OutfitOfTheDay campaign to the campus, showing various looks they curated to wear their outfits more often and avoid 'take-use-dispose' approach to fast fashion

'Think Smart, Buy Smart': interactive kiosk challenging & enlightening students about the clothes they wear

'Rate My Fit': retail students challenged with styling two outfits from thrift stores on a budget - our two male models showcase their second-hand outfits - you choose who the winner is on the day!

'Fashion Swap Shop': all students invited to bring one piece of clothing they no longer wear, and they can swap it for another pre-loved garment. Clothes must be in good condition and clean to be added to the swap shop!

'Haulternative Fashion': raising awareness of the plight of garment workers by asking students, 'Who Made Our Clothes?'

'Irish Ethical Fashion': a showcase of ethical fashion available in Irish stores

'Upcycle Fashion': retail students demonstrate how we can upcycle our clothes to give a new lease of life to our old clothes
