Work Placement

A work placement will feature as key to the successful completion of the DIT’s MSc in Fashion Buying & Management, and will take place at the end of Semester One for 6 weeks from June through to August. DIT recruit a fashion buying expert with over 10 years experience in the industry to coordinate the placement of each of their students in top buying offices both in Ireland and London. The aim of this module is to provide students with an experiential learning opportunity to consolidate the insights and learning achieved during the programme within the world of work. Students present a Reflective Learning Journal on completion of the work placement documenting their learning experience. This six week placement has proved to be a vital component of DIT’s MSc in Fashion Buying & Management with past graduates successfully going on to secure full time employment in these DIT-linked buying offices.
