Welcome to the Disability Support Services

The goal of the Disability Support Services is to ensure that any student with a disability does not experience an educational disadvantage in accessing, fully participating in, and benefiting from, educational opportunities at DIT.


Examination Accommodations Deadline


All DARE students must register with the Disability Support Services before
Friday, 19th October 2018.

We would encourage any other student with a disability, who wishes to avail of our supports, to also register before the above date to ensure their examination accommodations are in place. 

Please note all Learning Support Officers and Assitive Technology Officers offer a one hour drop-in daily service from 12.00-13.00.

Please note all continuing and returning students should advise their Learning Support Officer if their course or circumstances have changed, as your accommodations may need to be reviewed.

If you currently have examination accommodations in place and you no longer wish to avail of them, please advise your Learning Support Officer.




 Study skills seminars will be offered in the following areas: Note-Taking, Concentration, Organisation & Time Management, Presentation Skills, Essay Writing, Learning Preferences, Writing Skills with Technology, Assignment Strategies, Technology for Assignments, Preparing for Exam Revision, Technology for Revision.

1916 BURSARY FUND - Deadline 12th October 2018

The 1916 Bursary Fund will award a €5,000 bursary per year of study to 12 DIT students. The programme is open to all first-year students (full/part-time).
