Overview
This foundational module will provide learners with a general introduction to the molecular and biochemical principles upon which cells depend. It plays an essential role in establishing knowledge of the key chemical and cellular structures of life such as carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and subcellular organisation. It will also introduce key biochemical concepts relating to bioenergetics, enzyme kinetics, inheritance, transcription and translation.
