Overview
This module aims to provide learners with a detailed knowledge of the clinical assessment and acute-care dietetic management of paediatric and adult hospital inpatients.
Indicative SyllabusLectures:
Clinical dietetic assessment of adults and children in the hospital setting
Dietetic assessment and management of obese hospital in-patients
Dietetic assessment and management of hospital in-patients with diabetes
Dietetic assessment and management of hospital in-patients with cardiovascular disease or stroke
Oral nutrition support
Uncomplicated enteral nutrition support
Dietetic assessment and management of patients with physical disability
Dietetic assessment and management of patients with mental health disorders
Dietetic assessment and management of infant feeding disorders
Dietetic assessment and management of childhood obesity
Dietetic assessment and management of growth faltering in infants and children
Dietetic assessment and management of food allergy
Dietetic assessment and management of athletes
