Module Description

Theme: Language & Communication 1 An exploration of painting and its potential as a language in contemporary fine art practice.

Module Aims

The aim of this module is to further consolidate processes introduced in stage 1. To develop an informed understanding of compositional and narrative processes.

Indicative Syllabus

Developing a learning portfolios
Investigation of form, mass, space, light, shade, line in 2D,
Study of colour theory and application
Study of paint applications and materials,
Use of drawing
Use of source books.
Using primary and secondary research methodologies
