Overview
Internships / placement Programme The learner will be placed in a real working situation to learn practical aspects of and test essential skills for career opportunities in fine art today. Internships are organised by the individual learner in collaboration with staff team. Internships can take place in Artist Studio collectives, Arts Offices, Art Galleries, Museums, Community Groups, Arts Management, Design Studios, Film and Multi Media Studios, Educational establishments,etc..
Module AimsThe aim of this module is to give the learner the opportunity to work in a real situation and challenge their ideas and knowledge working in a specific context. The learner will take concepts and learn to put them into a finished product. They will work closely within a team to see projects through to completion, working to make every aspect of an artistic project the best that it can be. Depending on the type and scope of the project and the size of the company, this can involve any aspect of art creation, including the less artistic aspects such as organizing, scheduling, budgeting, advertising, and liaising with everyone else involvLearners learn the tools of written and verbal language and the communication of ideas, which may include considerable overlap with fields such as Arts Management and Visual Communication. They learn how to present ideas and execute them in a professional manner.
