LO 17 Demonstrate the ability to identify good practice for a compressor system in term generation, distribution and operation.
LO 16 Describe the basic principle of various type of air compresors.
LO 15 Describe the basic principles for steam boiler water treatment systems.
LO 14 Describe the staturatoty mainteance requirements for a steam boiler.
LO 13 Describe the principle of operation and mainteance requirement for the ancillary equipment installed on a steam/condensate distribution system.
LO 12 Draw a line diagram of a steam boiler and its associated equipment identify all the main components and part, how they are inter-connected and also identifing which items require peridoc mainteance.
LO 11 Describe the basic principle of a steam boiler and its associated equipment.
LO 10 Calculate the Carnnot and Rankine efficiency for a steam cycle.
LO 9 Use steam tables in the measurement of steam consumption.
