Overview

Module Description

This module introduces the basic elements of scriptwriting. Students will be required to examine their own media consumption. The focus will be on the fundamental concepts, beginning with story ideas, working through how stories are constructed and character development. Standard script formats will be introduced and learners will be encouraged to adopt those professional formats to present their ideas from early in the module across all production modules.

Module Aims

This module aims to provide a foundation in scriptwriting and to support students in generating ideas and the development of those ideas.
