Overview
This module will provide a foundation in biological science and aims to develop an overview of the structure, functions and organisation of biotic systems and to refine a questioning attitude appropriate to scientific enquiry and systematic methodology. The module provides a basic understanding of the organisation of the human body and how the body works.The lectures are synchronised with laboratory work in which the student is familiarised with living and prepared biological material, and with the instruments appropriate to its scrutiny.
