Overview

Module Description

To introduce cell and animal biology at an undergraduate level, with particular attention to the human body. To provide experience in the use of the microscope.

Indicative Syllabus

Introduction to Biology: Cell Theory, movement across the cell membrane Taxonomy: Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells, Zoology, Animal histology, Animal physiology: gas exchange, circulatory system, digestion, homeostasis, nervous and reproductive systems
