Module Description

This module introduces students to the principles of atmospheric chemistry and of water quality, and the properties, effects and measurement of air and water pollutants.

Indicative Syllabus

Structure and composition of the atmosphere effects of elecromagnetic radiation sources, chemistry, health effects and monitoring of ground-level pollutants global patterns in air pollution indoor air pollution classes and characteristics of water pollutants general techniques in water analysis measurement of atmospheric pollutants macroinvertebrate biotic indicator groups.
