Overview

Module Description

This module examines the environmental health aspects of waste, waste management practices and contaminated land management. It also examines the programmes and measures adopted to monitor and manage surface water and groundwater resources.

Indicative Syllabus

Waste classification and management. Waste treatment strategies. Contaminated site investigations. Site remediation. Water Framework Directive programmes; groundwater protection; water pollution control;
