Module Description

This module presents a template for planning and executing special events in a professional manner. It takes the students through every aspect of the organisation and planning of a successful event whether it is a product launch, sales meeting, corporate hospitality or gala fund-raiser.

Module Aims

To provide students with a blueprint for planning a successful event which will help them appreciate the importance of each stage of the planning process.

Indicative Syllabus

Creating the event concept Feasibility study Bid process Organisation structure - working with committees. Staffing Detailed planning:budgets;catering;health & safety; transport; medical support etc. Guest lecture/site visit Presentations - Evaluation of events -importance; methods etc.
