Module Description

This Module provides a view of the production and staging of events.

Module Aims

The aim of this module is to introduce students to the main issues involved in producing and staging events from both a creative and logistical viewpoint

Indicative Syllabus

Elements of set, stage, and stand design. High-key, low-key, and classic lighting design. The nature of sound, microphones, speakers, mixing desks and feeds to other sources. Deciding on 'the Theme', corporate colours and logos, exploiting themes for advance and on-the-day publicity. Commissioning stands, stages and sets. Lights, Audio-visual, costumes and props. Logistics of production and staging.
