Module Description

On Completion of this module, the learner will be able to: 1) Explain the rational for good manufacturing practices in the food industry 2) Define the meaning of a unit operation in food processing technologies 3) Describe the impact of unit operations on food safety and quality 4) Recognise issues in food processing which could compromise food safety and quality 5) Describe the sequencing of unit operations in the development of processing lines 6) Show knowledge of typical processing equipment associated with the studied unit operations.
