Learning Outcomes
On Completion of this module, the learner will be able to:
1. Recognise the diverse roles of microorganisms in foodstuffs
2. Explain the concepts underlying the control of microbial growth during food handling and processing
3. Indicate the importance of infection control in the health care setting
4. Perform basic sampling and analysis in food microbiology.
