Module Description

Professional Placement is a period of planned work-based learning which is completed within an organisation in a market sector that is closely aligned with the student?s academic programme. The Career Management seminars provided as part of this module aim to facilitate students to develop a personal career development plan and specific skills in the areas of self assessment, occupational research, decision making and job search.

Indicative Syllabus

Career Management Skills Seminar: Self Assessment, Occupational Research, Decision Making, Preparation for Job Search including Application Forms, C.V. and Cover Letter preparation, Interview Technique, Researching and Applying for Placement, Negotiating an Agreement, Reflection on Placement, Applied Self-Evaluation.
