This is a four year part-time programme designed to prepare students for a career in Engineering maintenance. It is designed to provide graduates of Engineering Apprenticeship programmes, or persons with equivalent qualifications with the opportunity to pursue their studies to ordinary degree level. Maintenance engineering is a key component of an industry's competitiveness. It ensures efficiency, safety and reliability of production and service delivery of public utilities. Areas of study during the three year programme include Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Computer Software Applications, Communications, Mathematics, Engineering Science & Materials, Thermal & Fluid Plant, Mechatronics, Metrology & Quality, Facilities Operation Maintenance and Efficiency, Business Management, Final year Project.
Students may be required to attend classes at locations across the Institute.
