What is Bachelor Engineering Tec (Ord) Electrical and Control Systems?

This part-time programme educates students for careers in electrical power, automation, robotics, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries in Ireland. Students will develop the skills necessary to analyse complex electrical and electronic circuits and power systems. In addition they will acquire computing skills, ranging from ECDL to advanced level programming in control and automation systems. A further important feature of the programme is that of building the students' communication, professional development and management skills. At the final stages of the programme, students complete their studies by engaging in a substantial engineering project in their chosen specialist field. Students select one of two streams: Control and Automation Systems, or Electrical Energy Systems.

Students may be required to attend classes at locations across the Institute.
