What is Bachelor Engineering Tec (Ord) Electrical Services Engineering?

This is a two-year part-time advanced entry level programme designed to prepare students for careers as Electrical Services Engineers. The programme has been designed in close consultation with the Electrical Services Industry. Students will become computer literate and will also develop expertise in the technical areas necessary to use software packages for electrical services design. The programme will provide a wide knowledge base, which will enable the student to specialise in different areas of interest such as the following: lighting design; emergency services design; data cabling; standby power systems; industrial automation; electrical distribution design; project management; building services and environmental control. The degree is an advanced level entry programme for students who have graduated from the Higher Certificate in Electrical Services Engineering (DT078), or equivalent, and who wish to pregress their studies.


Students may be required to attend classes at locations across the Institute.
