What is Master of Science Quantity Surveying?

This new part-time programme provides an opportunity for non-quantity surveying graduates to become educated for a career in the construction industry in quantity surveying/construction economics in Ireland and abroad. It has been developed in response to considerable demand for an alternative route into the quantity surveying profession other than by way of the traditional honours undergraduate degree. The programme is presented within the School of Real Estate and Construction Economics in the Faculty of the Built Environment in DIT. The total intake of students each year will be approx. 20-25 students from different disciplines and backgrounds. The content of the programme, delivered over 2 ½ years (5 Semesters) includes subjects pertinent to the practice of Quantity Surveyors and construction economics professionals. The programme's focus is strongly oriented towards quantity surveying practice, building measurement, the management and economics of development. See Course Content for further details.
