What is Bachelor of Science (Hons) Chemical Science?

The programme is designed to give you the knowledge and skills which you will find useful in industry. More importantly they are the skills which many industries now seek in their prospective employees. Modules in Inorganic, Organic and Physical chemistry provide the basic chemistry. Modules in analytical chemistry are complemented with hands-on experience on state of the art analytical equipment. Modules in industrial chemistry expose you to the realities of the chemical process industry and the requirements of scale. In addition you will be introduced to the regulatory requirements of the pharmachemical and pharmaceutical industries. Class sizes (~20) are small and students get individual attention. Look at the adverts for jobs in chemistry and see how popular analytical chemists, process chemists and regulatory personnel are in the industry. Look how well they get paid!
