What is Higher Certificate Hospitality Services Management?

For trainee front-line managers and supervisors in the hotel and catering industry, as well as those aspiring to be, this two-year part-time programme gives graduates an in-depth knowledge and insight into all aspects necessary to have a successful career in the sector. Completion of the programme provides participants with a strong foundation in current management practices and trends. It also helps participants develop the techniques and management skills that are required to manage all aspects of the day-to-day practical operation and functioning of those departments for which they will be responsible, i.e. products, systems, facilities, sales, cash/credit and staff.

Students may be required to attend classes at locations across the Institute.

Please note that the catalogue is provided as a guide to modules in DIT. Not all modules listed will necessarily be offered every year and new modules may also be added. Information subject to change. For detail on specific programmes/modules please contact the relevant School directly.
