March 2019- School collaboration with Notre Dame University on DPAL Project

We were delighted to welcome Sarah Bliese from the University of Notre Dame to Kevin Street recently. Our own Dr Patrice Behan and Dr Cora O'Donnell are working in collaboration with Sarah as part of the Distributed Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab project, run by the University of Notre Dame. The Distributed Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab (DPAL) provides high quality, validated  chemical analysis of pharmaceutical samples from partners in the developing world.  This collaboration with Chemists Without Borders uses analytical resources at academic institutions to perform characterisation of suspect medications that have been collected and screened in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, India, Nepal, or Malawi. More information on the project can be found here.
