Karen Quigley

School Welcomes New Staff Member

The School is delighted to announce the appointment of Karen Quigley as a Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry to replace Barry Hatt who has moved to a senior executive position with GCAesthetics.

Most recently Karen has been Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs and Conformance at Wyeth in Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland. The Newbridge site is one of the largest producers of solid dosage forms in the world.  Karen was previously at Wyeth in the USA in the Regulatory Affairs department there.

She has over 20 years of Pharmaceutical industry experience having worked in Regulatory Affairs both in Chemistry, Manufacture and Controls (CMC) and in clinical and labeling roles.  Prior to her career in Regulatory, Karen worked in the formulation and scale-up of inhalation drug products both at Glaxo and Aventis.

She holds a Masters of Science degree from University College Dublin and a Masters in Business Administration from St Joseph's University, Philadelphia.

Her particular interests include global CMC regulatory affairs, regulatory compliance systems and the integration of Process Analytical Technology and Quality by Design approaches into regulatory filings.
