School Retirement Functions

The retirement celebrations for two of the schools longest serving staff members were held in November. Dr. Noel Russell, Head of the School for 14 years and Mr Sean Magee, much valued member of the School technical staff, both retired in August of this year.

Colleagues payed warm tribute to Noel said he had guided the School to many successs, mentored many staff and expanded the range and diversity of programmes and research offered. Noel's two passions in life are his music and teaching, both of which he continues to practice. Click here to see some photographs of this event

Sean Magee has been a well-respected colleague for many years, providing technical support in the School. Well-known for his scientific prowess, Sean is also a keen genealogist and the author of the Chart's Index of Heads of Households, based on the 1851 Dublin City Census. Since retiring, he is now fully preoccupied with his alternative career. Click here to see some photographs of this event
