How to get a Login Account

The School of Computing “CS domain” accounts is being decomissioned as of Sept 2012. To access any of our labs you must use the ICT Domain. For details on obtaining a valid login you should visit the Information Services webpage. Students who have registered for a course should be eligible for an account. 

Delays in Registration?

In the event of a delay in registration you should request a temporary account from your lab supervisor which will be provided on a weekly basis until Sept 31st. After this date you must contact the School Office and apply for a temporary account.  

CS Domain - End of Life statement

Students and Staff may access their CS account from last year by connecting to the terminal server galway.cs.dit.ie. This server will no longer be accessible after Dec 31st 2012 and is not used for teaching services. 

ICT Domain labs are

  • 5 In Kevin Street Annexe building: KA-1-015, KA-1-016, KA-1-017, KA-3-005, KA-3-006, KA-3-008,
  • 2 in Aungier Street building:            AU-1-005, AU-1-006

The School of Computing does not support issues with the ICT account and you should contact central IS support relating to password or account issues at support@dit.ie or call 01-4023123.

Managing and resetting password?

All students have the ability to manage their passwords including password resets using the Manage My Password portal.
