Who we are

Since its establishment in 1997, the CSER has undertaken research on behalf of organisations from the private sector, the state and the community and voluntary sectors.

We aim as a centre of expertise to have an impact on both, professional practice and policy, at local, national, european and international levels.

Researchers in the CSER are dedicated to supporting the improvement of the quality of life of children, families and communities through the provision of accurate research data and information.

Interdisciplinary research

Interdisciplinary research is one of the core strengths of CSER and the Centre is affiliated to the School of Languages, Law and Social Sciences which uniquely comprises the disciplines of languages, law and social sciences and works actively to develop research in both domains.
