The Directorate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
The Directorate of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is a new Executive-level Directorate with responsibility for directing strategic policy and organizational commitments to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. It is responsible for developing a TU Dublin Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy, and for developing and supporting consequent policies and practices across the University (e.g. academic recruitment and promotions, quality assurance policies and procedures, post-doctoral training, student experience) ensuring that TU Dublin policies take full account of equality, diversity and inclusion matters. It provides University leadership for Athena SWAN and other equality and diversity external accreditations. The Directorate monitors equality and diversity targets, and reports to the University executive and external bodies on progress. It provides a TU Dublin-wide focus for interdisciplinary research on equality, diversity and inclusion. The Directorate represents the University on a number of national and international bodies related to equality, diversity and inclusion matters.
