A new phone charging service. WattSpot, founded by two Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) students, Conor Nolan and Conor Mc-Gowan, recently launched its new website on IADT's campus. WattSpot aims to table battery consumption issues for consumers on the go through the provision of free phone charging facilities. "Businesses benefit from the incentive for customers to enter their establishment to charge their phone for free. Sales increase and the overall customer experience is elevated. Everyone's a winner. It's simple," said Nolan, who came up with the concept. WarrSpot, which is just one example of the entrepreneurial environment being fostered at IADT, started a few months ago and is now available in establishments such as the Insomnia Coffee Company and independant businesses across Ireland. With exposure at events such as the Web Summit, WattSpot is set to expand to Britain within the next few months.

Current New Frontiers Phase 2 participant.
