Horizon 2020 Funding Opportunities for SMEs

DIT Hothouse acclaimed for Irish Start-up support in Sunday Business Post Technology Magazine

Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

Horizon 2020 is open to everyone, with a simple structure that reduces red tape and time so participants can focus on what is really important. This approach makes sure new projects get off the ground quickly – and achieve results faster.

SME Opportunities through Horizon 2020

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can access European R&D funding through Horizon 2020 by collaborating with industry and academic partners or individually via the new SME Instrument.

The calls for 2014 and 2015 are listed on the Horizon 2020 Participant Portal.  You can search for topics using keywords or search the calls directly. Once you have identified a list of topics that interest you, contact DIT Hothouse to learn more about research collaboration and our research support programme.
