DIT does not provide travel insurance for Students. In certain circumstances students travelling on behalf of DIT may be added to DIT Staff Travel Insurance for an additional charge (budget transfer required). To extend cover to a student under the DIT Staff Travel Insurance preapproval from our brokers is required. To arrange this, please contact  with the students' name and travel dates. Alternatively, students are advised to buy their own travel insurance.



Staff travelling on behalf of DIT are covered for medical expenses, personal liability, personal accident, travel cancellation and curtailment, delayed and missed departures, loss of money and belongings. Trips over six months in duration must be notified to our insurers in advance. Staff on a business trip can contact and request information on the Travel Assistance Emergency Procedure and the Emergency Travel Assistance and Claims contact details.
