DIT Seed-funded Learning, Teaching and Assessment Projects
Funding was to be directed towards studies which would be likely to lead to developments in teaching practice and methodology aligned with the current institutional strategic priorities and in the establishment of the TU4Dublin. This year, we focussed upon the creation of educationally enriching experiences that encourage student engagement within the learning process and the development of DIT Graduate Attributes. Collaborative projects that involve DIT staff working with at least one other TU4Dublin partner were encouraged as are initiatives that adopt a programme based approach to the study. Course development will not normally qualify.
Projects were funded under the following key themes
- Successful transition into Third Level / Enhancing the first year experience (see First year transition report submitted to academic council Spring 2015 )
- Rethinking assessment and/or feedback strategies across a programme
- Building Digital capacity within technology enriched learning spaces
- Embedding industry or community based engagement within a programme (see also Summary Report Work Placement June 2013)
